("COLE")
MORAB
GELDING
SUMMER
2004
"Jen
is, I believe, one of the most competent horse trainers in our
area. She sincerely loves working with horses, from ground to
saddle. I have seen her start young horses, bring along green
horses, rehabilitate problem horses, and accomplish higher schooling
in her well-trained saddle horses. She uses patience and logic
to get lasting results with horses of all abilities. She keeps
in constant communication with the horse's owner. Rates are
reasonable and worth every penny. Horses in training are well
cared for and happy. Jennifer furthered my horse Cole's education,
and I couldn't be happier. With my horse's higher level of ability,
I can learn more."

"I
thought the pricing was excellent and the care was exquisite.
Jennifer was very helpful with any questions or concerns I had
regarding Mya. The correctness of training was incredible. I
have never ridden or handled a horse so confident and sweet
because of the good training that was instilled in her. I was
amazed at the speed Mya progressed, even after being laid up
for two weeks, she kept a lot of the knowledge she learned.
The facilities were clean and safe and the horses were happy
and well taken care of. I never had to worry about scheduling
farrier or vet appointments for Mya, because Jennifer had already
taken care of it. Jennifer was more than willing to email me
or call me with updates on Mya, what they were doing in training,
general progressions, etc. as well as for a time for me to take
the 2 hour trek out to Colfax to see how Mya was doing. She
was able to be flexible with her schedule and always made time.
I would HIGHLY recommend Jennifer Collman to ANYONE who wants
a calm, confident horse that is safe as well as a pleasure to
be around!!"

DOC
AMERICAN
QUARTER HORSE GELDING
FALL
2007

"We
bought Doc as a 4 yr old in the summer of 2007. It became clear
when we looked at him that although he is royally bred and well
put together that he had some serious trust issues. I knew there
would be a lot of work ahead before he would be close to being
ready for anyone to even think about getting on him.
I knew Doc was beyond anything I had dealt with before and needed
someone who had the knowledge to get him over his fears. Doc
arrived for training in August. He was a wreck emotionally and
physically. His feet hadn't been trimmed in years and was too
scared to allow his feet to be handled. He would quiver any
time he was touched and couldn't allow his head to be touched
at all. While he wouldn't explode outwardly, it was clear that
he was utterly terrified. Jen spent countless hours with Doc,
just spending time with him and showing him that it was OK to
be around people. He was only there a month but he went from
a scared, depressed horse that would shake if you looked at
him to an eager, confident student! After his time with Jennifer
he is eager to be around people. He willingly approaches people
in the pasture and wants to be scratched-especially around his
ears! I can clean his feet and blanket him in the pasture with
no halter on. He puts his face right in the halter and loves
to learn new things! His true personality and curious nature
are starting to bloom and I am excited to come back this spring
to continue his training. The best part of having a horse in
training (besides the great results) is that Jennifer takes
the time to "train" the owners too! I think I learned
as much as Doc did and have been able to apply things I learned
there to the rest of our herd at home. I won't hesitate to take
any of my horses to Jennifer and plan to take some lessons for
myself too!"

DANCER
AMERICAN
PAINT GELDING
FALL
2006
"My
husband Stan and I have always trained our own horses and
have had very good results. However, my sister's near fatal
horse riding accident, when her horse reared up and went over,
has given us a new sense of mortality. When we started our
2 year old Dancer under saddle, he showed a tendency to rear,
and it scared the be Jesus out of us. We called Jen on a reccommendation
and she came out the next day to evaluate Dancer. Dancer was
the baby in the pasture, and over time we didn’t notice
how pushy he was with all of us. We treat our horses with
kindness and respect, and watching Jen work with Dancer in
our pasture, we could see that Jen didn’t use force
or brutality to get the response she wanted. We sent him to
Jen at Windfall Farm for 30 days. After the first week I couldn’t
believe the difference in him. Jen scheduled her training
time with Dancer as much as she could around our schedule
so that we could be there to watch her methods and techniques.
Jen taught Dancer a sense of work ethics that will carry him
and Stan through any trail ride, respect and trust in his
rider, and gave us a foundation to build on. Dancer has been
on several trail rides and has shown a willingness to work
and learn new things. Stan is looking forward to this summer
with Dancer on the trail. I have a 2 year old filly, Eclipse,
scheduled with Jen on July 1st and I am so excited that the
days are just dragging. Jen came out last summer and taught
me some ground work that I could do with Eclipse. This ground
work made it possible for me to teach her trailer loading
in a safe and relaxing manner. I have learned so much from
Jen. Her training methods have given me a whole new tool box
to work from and made our time with our horse’s safer,
fun and relaxing. I HIGHLY recommend Jen as a trainer and/or
teacher and have already done so. If you have a problem in
you pasture, call Jen!"

AMERICAN
SPOTTED SADDLE HORSE GELDING
FALL
2006

"On
a recommendation from another horse owner, I decided to check
out Jennifer for possible training or riding lessons. My Spotted
Saddle Horse was timid and fearful each and every time I took
him out to ride. He would spook and startle at birds, cows,
etc. I went to several training sessions and her method is a
very effective training tool and my horse has grown in only
a month. He is more confident and we are able to trailer various
places and he’s not spooky. I am excited to say that I
can trail ride him in only a halter! During training, I was
able to ride him in a river for the first time (it was awesome!),
in small controlled groups and by myself. Jennifer allows your
horse to be exposed to a wide variety of activities. You are
guaranteed excellent service and results all at an affordable
price. I enjoyed truly enjoyed the training sessions and will
miss everyone. It gave me a good starting point and direction.
I have become a better horse owner and am grateful for the time
and energy devoted to me AND my horse. I would recommend Jennifer
Collman to every horse lover, owner and rider. You’ll
get what you are looking for here!"

"I
took Jasmine for a 2 1/2 hour trail ride 2 weeks ago and she
was so good! I rode her on a loose rein and she was very relaxed.
I was happy. I cannot tell you how much I love that horse now...
a couple of months ago I couldn't stand her at all and wanted
her sold. Now, I don't think I could find a suitable enough
home for her. I just can't believe how she trusts and respects
me. It is such an awesome feeling!"

SUMMER
2006

"
Jen took my daughter and her horse under her wing and has done
an amazing job with both. "Cowboy" has become a wonderful
horse compared to the untrusting, frightened horse he had been.
I now feel comfortable letting my daughter work with him. He
adores her and she adores him. My daughter has also come a long
way since meeting Jen and going with her to shows and 4-H meetings.
My daughter aspires to follow in Jen's footsteps and I feel
fortunate that she has a good leader to follow. Jen is her inspiration
and has allowed her to be happy with the goals that she has
set for her life and knows that they are attainable. Jen is
a wonderful trainer for the horse that has captured my daughter's
heart and soul and a wonderful role model of what a good horse
person should be."

AMERICAN
QUARTER HORSE MARE
SUMMER
2006

"Our
9 year old mare went into training after we rescued her from
a neglectful home. She was in horrible condition - she didn't
even have a name. She was nervous, difficult to catch, and has
serious trust issues. She was next to impossible to saddle,
but now we can saddle her and she stands still and calm. After
30 days, she has a new attitude towards riding and especially
towards people, and she is calm and confident in herself. Jennifer
took the time to show my daughter how to communicate better
with her and gave her so much to learn and work towards once
she came home. Not only was Jen able to take our mare as far
as she did in training, because she took the time to teach us,
we are continuing to progress. When we brought her to the stable,
it took forever to get her in the trailer. On the day she left,
my daughter loaded her ALL BY HERSELF, while sitting in a lawn
chair outside the trailer. We are very happy with her and we
have so many hopes for her future. My daughter loves to practice
her riding on her and cant wait to show her in 4-H!"

"It
has been nearly 2 years since we had our mare started by Jennifer.
Even though I am far less horse savvy than my daughter, I am
confident that having professional training with Jennifer was
a good investment. Since the day we brought her home, she has
been so much better, and her under saddle training has really
stuck, which makes me feel that Jennifer trained her well. We
are very happy with her!"

FALIZE
AMERICAN
QUARTER HORSE MARE
SUMMER
2007

"When
I brought my 3 year old mare, Falize to Jennifer for training
last summer, she had some issues with saddling, tying, picking
up her feet, and once in a while, just being in the pasture
with her; she would suddenly act up and try to kick/bite.
She was getting more and more dangerous and we had to be careful
who we let walk into the pen (especially when my niece and
nephew came). I had tried to use round-penning techniques
but the results were anything but a well trained horse. When
Jen began training Falize, she trained me as well. She spent
a lot of time each day with both of us and I was able to take
what I learned and bring it home to the other family horses.
At the end of those two amazing weeks, Falize was a different
horse. Now my two year niece can sit on her while she grazes.
Jen has been a very good trainer and teacher for me. She has
made a world of difference in how I work with and understand
horses. I am very grateful for all that Jen has done for me
and I hope to train more with her in future. Whenever I have
questions she is always there to guide me through. Jen has
a great love for horses and for the people she is working
with."

Quarter Horse Mare
Summer
2003
"I
had bought a Quarter Horse mare from a friend for $400 with
the understanding that she had serious issues with bolting and
running away with her rider. Jen was highly recommended to me
by another of her clients, and I agreed to have her come out
for her free evaluation. What impressed me the most was her
ability to read the horse very quickly and understand the root
of her problem. She also quickly determined what discipline
and what type of rider she would be best suited for, and was
very up front and honest about her not being the right match
as a trail horse for my husband, a green rider. She was very
in tune with the horse and did great groundwork in the beginning,
which is very important to me. She was able to explain and demonstrate
her training methods to me and always encouraged me to watch
the training process. I was impressed with how quickly her training
got results, and how her training changed the mare's entire
attitude towards riding. Jen helped me sell the mare, problem
free, after 45 days of training for $2800, to a very good home."

"When
I sent Cash to Jen for thirty days of training, he was disrespectful,
spooky, and not very confident. Over the course of the month
he was at Jen's, he became a confident, respectful three year
old who rarely spooked. Jen put a really solid foundation on
Cash that I appreciate every time I pull him out of the pasture
to ride him. Jen has the patience of a saint and I found no
holes in Cash's training when I got him back. I would recommend
Jen to anyone looking for a trainer!"
